Default Trans shift points

Went to the track tonight...rean a 13.47 not real happy. Part of the problem is my shift points. I was aiming for 5500 but ended up at 6100 and 5900. My question is: Does the trans shift at the comanded mph or RPM? From what I have been seeing it is the MPH as long as the RPM is reached. I am using HPtuners. Thanks

Dave

Both have to be met. Set MPH lower than the RPM and you should be good to go!

oooooor, just zero out the MPH. It should shift at the commanded rpm always unless there are other issues going on.

Could just be the TC slip. Try starting with a commanded of 5000 RPM and bump it up a little at a time until it actually shifts at 5500.

If I zero out the MPH tables it will only shift at comanded MPH for a WOT shift right? Now that I think about it I could do that for TOW/HAUL (performance shift). That may be a better idea for me as it is my daily driver right now. Thanks...I didn't think of that before. That's why I love these message boards

I think you got something wrong there...
If you zero out the MPH table... it will shift at the commanded RPM, because the MPH is alway met.

exactly. If WOT MPH is zero that condition is met instantly. No maybe, no kind of. Once rpm is hit, then it shifts. Give or take a few rpm.
