well the onlhy time i want ti to shift firmly is at wot otherwise, i'm getting too old for that crap, it about broke my neck every time my t/a shifted and got old fast

you can tune it to shift firm at WOT without the tow/haul button pressed and keep the normal the rest of the time. There are endless possibilities to custom tuning.

i agree, the tow/haul *** mode is purely for sales purposes. you can keep the part throttle shifts mild and economy all you want while making the wide open harsh and as high as they need to be without ever using the tow/haul button.

egr recirculates the exhaust INTO the intake manifold to lower emissions.. if you delete the egr and take it off of the truck.. you wont have that hot exhaust being sucked into the intake...its really useless... just an attempt at saving the environment.

It really is pointless, they have found a way to make them run efficient enough without them on the newer models, so theres really no need for it. If you get to be a good enough tuner you could probably get those emissions levels even lower than the stock tune with the egr on it.
