Default Tossing my mail order for a Dyno Tune

From Synergy Motorsports . Took the plunge and made the appointment for Saturday morning, tenative. The Tuner may have to go out of town so it's tenative for then. I hate to give up the $550+ i've already spent in tuning (mail order + shipping tunes back and forth) but i've heard good things about these guys and they warranty their work and THEIR LOCAL!!

So, wish me luck and i'll let you know how it goes!

They have the dynapac system, which is a bolt-up-to-axle dyno rather than rollers, so if they have 2 sets and the right adapters for 6 lug on both sets, then I bet they will. Which is very good to know, since I'll be moving to the area at the end of the month and would like to rent some dyno time to perfect my spark table.

I've emailed them asking if they can accomodate AWD, I'll let you know what they respond with.

DC justin, Thanks,
Where are you going to move to, I live in stockton, it is close to Sacramento.
There is a AWD dyno at Granitelli motor sports down by LA, That is where I had my dyno done at. But it is a 300 mile drive one way. So I was looking for something closer.
Please let me know what you find out

I'll be living in the south bay somewhere. Going to work for eBay in Campbell.

I went to UC Davis and grew up outside of Fresno, so I'm a bit familiar with your area. Didn't know that Granatelli had one. What part of LA are they in?

I was told by Ben Strader (Owner of EFI University) that dyno shops with Dynapac setup should be able to dyno our AWD setups, so hopefully Synergy will be able to.

What type of a tune do you have now?

Update from Synergy. They do not have AWD capability right now.

DC justin,
I have a westers mail order tune.
Granatelli is in Oxnard, CA not very far from Magic Mountain theme park. That is where I had my truck dyno'd, I think I will keep tweeking on my mail order tune for awhile since I have free updates and right now he isn't charging me for shipping and handling of retunes. Than I will get a spare computer and have it dyno tuned and compare which is better and keep that one, Hell its only money.

I've stumbled on a few on ebay before. Or check a junkyard. If there aren't in nearby in SJ, Sacramento has quite a few. Might be able to get one shipped.
