OK!!! I was thinking "How can this be". But, $1.50/$1.85 a gallon explains it.

Jerry W did the tune on the truck before I left. I asked Jerry to squeek out a few more MPG because of the first leg of the trip being so long

Wow. I guess the arrogant Jerry W. had a better day than he did at a dyno day with his old Fordchip.com partner Pete C. here in Maryland back in 2003...Everyone hugged his nuts so hard his face turned blue, but after a 2 day dyno tune event here with 30 or so $400+ dynotune customers, a half dozen of them (including myself) had cars that ran worse, wouldn't idle when cold started, and had more issues than we started with. Pete and I spent 5 hours trying to get my car to even start, after the amazing Jerry "tuned" it....Back then he was a WOT only tuner, evidently. That's the only thing all 30 of us had in common, was that we ran good at the track, but subpar at best all other times...I ended up spending another $900 on a piggyback tuner called a PMS (programmable management system) and easily fixed all the issues that the genius couldn't fix after many tries...sorry to rant. lol.

BTW, I sent you an email (to link in your sig) about MPG tuning 2 weeks ago. I'm guessing you either didn't see it, or knew I hated Jerry? Is PM better for response?

Jerry did this tune up very well. It was the first 2011 HD 6.0L E78 ECM that he tuned. The fuel trims were spot on and he wanted to keep it over night. I said no way. we needed to leave that night to make it the 367 miles on one tank. I told Jerry I could email him logs if it was off. This BTW is an EPA certified tune
