Timing for economy
#2
Ive always heard at very light loads up to around 50 degrees. The stock timing is in the 30-40 degree range in the highway crusing cells.
I havent noticed any diffrence in advancing timing in the cruise areas. I would think the around the stock timing would be best untill you get into the higher arimass and pe mode. But a bigger cam might require some more timing in the cruise areas but then a higher compression ratio might require a little less.
Im sticking with a little added on to the stock table for cruise. GM spent more time than anyone else tuning.
