Default Think i just wasted 2 credits/ 4l80e swap help

Forgive me as ive really only worked with EFI live. I have the feeling i messed up and wasted 2 of my credits

Truck is a 2005 GM 5.3 4l60e

Truck had a updated EFI live flash on there , originally my OS was 12592618. They sent me a updated tune and a stock tune with OS 12606961

I flashed the stock 12606961 tune to the truck with EFI and did a read with HPT, and of course i did the 2 credit licence(im guessing i shouldnt have). Well in my search for a 12606961 4l80e file it seem that there is not one, that the 4l80e trucks stayed at the old calibration when GM did the updates that only the 5.3 got updated.

So my question is now I can flash the truck back to the 12592618 file with EFI live no issues as i have as stock file saved, but if do a new read with HPT, will i have to use another 2 credits to licence?

Also i do plan on turbocharging the truck and my ecm has the option for 2/3 bar speed density which i plan on using, however it says i have to change the OS. so will i have to use more credits and get a new file once i do that? I plan on running the truck stock for a while with the 4l80e in it untill i have my turbo kit finished

Thanks for your time, this is me right now

Why are you using EFI Live and HPT? 12592618 has everything you need. Thats what I have in my truck.

Cant you send the tune you pulled off with HPT to them and have them do the segment swap?

He needs to find his original OS and a matching 80E OS and he will be fine. Do you have the tune that has the 12592618 OS?

I explained all in the post. I got a efi tune a while back it was updated gm calibration so they sent me both a stock file and tuned file. I put it back to the stock file with efi then did a read with hpt. Then after i looked and looked i could not find a matching hpt 4l80 file

I can easily flash my truck back to the 12592618 with efi live then do a read of it with hpt but im just trying to figure out if i wasted 2 of my credits on my current read

From what im seeing hpt you licence the file not the vin. I found both stock files i need on hpt repository but in order to flash to my truck ill have to use 2 more credits. I just figured since it was same truck i licenced the vin but guess i was wrong

You license the VIN not the OS.

Just incase anyone else runs into this. Flashed back to my old OS via EFI live, and did a new read with HPT, everything is good it kept my VCM ID the same so i didnt have to use any extra credits
