Ok so the IPC from a v6 truck Reads the cam sensor differently or gets a different signal from the v6 vs v8 if I’m correct. is there a way or place to change the way the vehicle reads this to correct rpm output on cluster in HP tuners?
Seems like it’s off with a multiplier so it gets exponentially worse the higher the RPM.

I believe the cluster tach uses the PCM tach output, which can be configured in the tune. It is likely off because the output is configured for a 6 cylinder, and it needs to be 8. Should just need to change high and low pulses to 3 and 3. That will be an 8 cyl tach output.

Thank you so much lastcall. My pulses were at 6 and 6 and changing them to 3 and 3 made the problem twice as bad. 8 and 8 was what made it dead on for my truck at least. Thank you for the tip.
