EFans on PCM...pin 33
Hey fellas... any of you experience an issue where the PCM has the ground supply to 33 ALWAYS on regardless of the tune settings? I poped a volt meter on the wire that i have leading to 33 and as soon as you turn on the ignition and start the truck, that ground turns on immediately. It will not wait for the turn on temp from the ECT.
Thanks

Did this ever get resolved? I'm having a similar problem with mine. Except mine is on ALL the time, and the other one is never on.
I'm using the harness the Atomic has posted up a couple times, checked all my connections on the relays, haven't checked the relays yet to see if they're bad since I didn't get it done until all the parts stores around here were closed.

I can tell you guys now that mine is a very unique issue....What you two are probably experiencing can be fixed fairly easily. Mine on the other hand is wel far beyond the threshhold of manageable lol. I need to try and chase a short somewhere in my HVAC system. You guys are proabably have an issue strictly in the setup and tune. Check this:
1. Remove the wiring harness from the PCM wire and work solely with the PCM wire 42Blue and 33Red.
2. Check to see if the PCM is firing out a ground signal on 42 when the Key is on but the Engine off. If 42 is grounded check the signal at 33RED.
3. If 42 is grounded and 33 is not, then youre pretty much doing a lot better than I am. 33RED will not ground unless the A/C is kicking it on do to high pressure or high temps. One or the other. In my case both 42 and 33 are grounded Key on engine off.
Start there and report back. Yours issues can probably be fixed with the simple troubleshooting steps

I was going back over the wiring diagram,

If I pull the wire from "Cooling Fan 3 Relay" 87a the fan still runs. So "Cooling Fan 2 relay" 87 is always hot, It's been a long time since I've worked with relays, and even when I did it was only for about 15 minutes., but I'll check that and report back with what I find on 42/33
