I'm the one who used to 40T wheel and I have cruise in all gears. But I never tried it with a 17T wheel. The cruise works with the stock 4L60E tune or using a T56 segment swap tune. It also worked with either 3.73 or 4.56 gears. I have no clue why mine works and some peoples doesn't.

Ferocity02,

What is the VSS pulses per revolution set at in your computer? Does your speedometer run off the computer signal? If so what did you do to calibrate it?

117828 pulses per mile, 40 pulses per revolution, 285/50R20 tires, 4.56 gears. The cluster outputs what the PCM is seeing from the speed sensor. Using the tire size and gear ratio I got pretty close, then I used GPS to fine tune.

Also, when running the stock 4L60E tune, my PCM thinks the trans is in 2nd all the time. I believe this is some sort of default. With the T56 tune mine thinks it's in 1st all the time. The tune file only has the option for inputting gear ratios 1-4, so I don't know how it can tell if it's in 5th or 6th. Also, the stock f-body T56 tune has 4L60E gear ratios in it for 1-4. Very odd.

Did you manipulate the 1-4 gear ratios in any way? For example did you set 4th to match the 0.50:1 of the T-56?

Mike

Thanks for the help by the way. I miss my cruise!

No, the gear ratios are still the 4L60E values. And as I mentioned, these values are the 4L60E values in a T56 f-body tune as well. I'm not sure that these values are of any importance with a manual.

Did you do any wiring on the transmission range switch? I ended up soldering a few wires together from the smaller plug in an attempt to get the trans to think it's in drive and display D on the cluster. However it always ended up going back to 2 on the cluster once I started it. Then I think once I disabled all of the auto trans DTC's it says D all the time now, but the PCM thinks its in 2nd. Very odd. Basically it uses the "In Gear" tables now which is what I want. Perhaps you could try doing this wiring or disabling all of the auto trans DTC's. A T56 segment swap may help as well, although my cruise works with the 4L60E or T56 segment.

I would be very upset if I didn't have cruise, so much so I'd probably go back to the 60E or an 80E.

Correct mine did have the NV3500. I tried fooling the ECM/PCM with different counts on the reluctor from 17 teeth > 40 teeth. Also different rear axle ratios from 3.73 > 4.56 .

Since Ferocity2's as an auto, maybe that's how he got away with it. ?

Mikesz, will try those different values asap, but working tons of OT this week so ?

I can use a manual tune and it still works.

I tried again yesterday putting Fbody info for the speedo gear, 17 teeth and etc.
I was going about 50 mph and the speedo said 100 .

Cruise in 5th and none in 6th ....

In my tune there's all the auto information, nothing about 1 > 5 or 6th

I have not looked at the SSR 6 spd tune yet as been working a lot...
