Swapping to a fuel cell, and a Bosch 044 inline pump...
So I have ditched the stock tank, and installed a cell, and I have installed a bosch 044 inline pump. I am not at the point of firing it up yet, mainly because the 4.3 is still in the truck ready to be pulled, and the 5.3 is still on the stand... but I am wondering if I need to run the tank pressure sensor, or if I need to bypass it or if I can just leave it out.
Any info will be great, Truck is an 01 RCSB and I am swapping in an 01 5.3 from a tahoe, with most of the wiring from the tahoe. I plan to strip out what I dont need from the harness.
You can keep all the EVAP stuff the same as it is and it should be fine. What are your plans with the truck? I would recommend swapping in a walbro400 or 450 for the stock one in the tank instead of doing an inline pump.
Ok... let me rephrase that. Stock tank, evap system and all of the factory fuel system except the rail and injectors are LONG gone, and never coming back.
Use... it's getting driven to the track on Friday nights, raced in the street class, driven home and parked until the next Friday night. The strip is 20 mins from my house.
There is no "use a walboro instead of an inline" it's way too late for that...
