Default Starter engages as soon as battery is connected!

Howdy,

Just finishing up a 5.3 to 6.0 swap and when I went to connect the battery the starter engages! I disconnected the starter and connected the two leads to a multimeter, reconnected the battery and got zero voltage. So I'm assuming it's the solenoid on the starter. Replace starter and it engages as soon as battery is connected. Any ideas?

Somehow the starter is grounding the solenoid. Is the signal wire touching a ground somewhere?

Turns out it was the tang on the positive lead touching the solenoid. Thanks for the help!
