Default Speed Density Tuning

Since putting on the intercooler, I have been thinking about putting on a 2 bar MAP sensor. Please let me know how you experiences have been with it. Is it better than the conventional setup. Being able to map out the boosted region really sounds attractive. What are the drawbacks in loosing the MAF. Please advise.

Drawbacks ??....Lets see, it idles and accelerates smoother, it's more accurate as long as your willing to put the time in to tune it correctly, it's more consistant....actually, I can't think of any drawbacks really

Draw back is you tune it for current weather conditions. IE: Here in KY is 85* with 80% humidity. Tune is spot on with these conditions. It isn't come winter or larger weather change. May be enough that it doesn't run well.

You could tune for a couple different weather conditions and then scale your tables for the average if the temp is in between two conditions that you have tune for. I plan on going this way once my truck is back up and running.

I say pay the extra couple of bucks and order it from your local dealer instead of waiting the 4 weeks from gmpartsdirecttakeforeverwithhorriblecustomerservic e.com But that's just me.

Its about $39 ($45 shipped) from gmpartsdirect.com I bought mine from them and got it in about 10 days. Tried to get it from a dealer, but they wanted $76 bucks and would have been a real hassle to get it unless you went to a Saturn dealer and they would have had to order it too. I know of one place online to get take offs, but last time I posted them, they sold a bunch and then pulled them from there online store cuz they only have a limited supply. They have them again now. PM me for more info.
