Definite lesson learned. I had a thread about it in the lounge. Its not really about not trusting the shop at all, its about avoiding something stupid happening. I really would feel terrible if some young kid got in it and thought they were going to go "test drive it" and end up wrapping it around a tree or a school bus full of kids. I'd never forgive myself even knowing it was out of my hands. And second to that would be losing something I've put a great deal of blood, sweat, and dollar bills into building.

I didn't snap to think that the cold would kill the batt like it did either. It was fully charged when I dropped it off 2 days earlier and it was shut down in the back seat.

The second try at this finally worked:

Shut down the computer completely, disconnected every plug between the truck and laptop, let sit for about a minute (say short prayer) fire the computer up, plug everything in, open VCM editor, do a "write entire" and it cranked up.

Thanks for the call Kevin. It literally cranked up as my phone was ringing with you on the other end

/disaster averted\

Ur not doing an OS flash everytime are you. Thecal only flash should take around 30 seconds. you only need to do the long one when changing OS.

I just did a "write calibration", it was just so damn dead it didnt even make it thru that... when I finally got it up and going, I did a "write entire" and everything was good.
