So, as far as track times go... What did you run last time, and what did you run this time? 60' and all please. What about weather... any huge differences? Are you using your ET streets? Curious to know.

Don't sweat it too bad... It's just **** luck. Your not gonna do a converter, cam and what not and gain nothing. Unless of course your 60' for ****, the weather sucks exc.

I did a 12.9 @ 106 on a stock stall, and a 100 shot back in February and ran a 12.9 @ 102 on a 2800 stall, and a 100 shot in July. Same 60'... That's how much of a bitch weather is. 4 MPH loss and no ET gain with a 2800 converter.

Old best..........................New Best

60- 2.258...................2.093
330- 6.251..................5.979
1/8- 9.545..................9.267
MPH- 75.20..................75.70
1000- 12.367................12.096
1/4- 14.783................14.543
MPH- 92.38..................91.43

Old best was in cool weather last november 13 when it was nice, dry and crisp in the 50*s. I didnt keep a log book at that time so i didnt know the DA The only thing i did on that run as far as weight redux was I opened my tailgait and i had 1/4 tank of fuel. I weighed 4575.

Last night was in upper 80* hot humid weather. I dont know the DA last night either. It wasnt on my list cuz i knew the times were gonna be anyway...Ill ask Kevin and get back to you cuz i know he keeps track. I was on slicks, low fuel light was on , dropped the spare and my tailgate. I completely forgot to weigh. I was much too pissed at my times to remember to roll through the scale.

Edit, sorry i tried to space the times out but it didnt work. Plan B

I know what your problem was. You didn't have that cup floating around in the bed of your truck going down the track.

make sure your rockers and valves didn't loosen after the cam install. I had very similar issues that you can read about in the "my 224 sucks" thread. Once the rockers where tightened everything was much better.

I had a tapping noise that hasnt gone away since the camswap. I have pulled my rockers at least 5 times and retorqued to spec using loctite. I either dont have long enough pushrods or i have a leaking lifter. This tapping noise may have been the cause for the false knock. I cant wait till i get a live tune to clear this **** up!
