Lt headers hands down and a tune...it's what most people get to feel a better response. There's more mods but idk much about performance..I'm sure the other guys would jump in and tell you

LT's, tune, and a set of 4.56 gears along with a TB stall will get you moving pretty good.

I think I'm going to go with the tune first. Truck is still has a extended warranty on it so I'll wait to do anything inside the engine. Thanks for the input, except for all those 4.8l bashers, lol.

i have the right to bash a 4.8, i have one.

and if you tune it then its gonna void the warranty, the dealership can see if the truck is tuned. if your worried about the warrenty then dont do anything.

I would say definitely a tune, then a toss-up between stall or gears...I would lean more toward gears.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will start saving for the 6.0 and by the time I have the cash, my warranty will about up. I could work out to be perfect timing.

thats the way to go

i honestly can't belive they would put 4.8's in crew cabs...there really is no way to make that truck get out of its own way, especially pulling something with a load full of people, without voiding the warranty....

if you dont want to do an engine swap, look into putting a front mount turbo on your 4.8, thats what im going to do. kb racing on here sells super nice looking complete kits for 2500. foose04 on here make 623rwhp give or take a few, on his turbo 4.8 @15psi with an ls6 cam/springs (which is about a 150 dollar cam package used)......definately something to look into

or you can build your own turbo kit
