Default Should I get a new PCM??

Ive got the 01 PCM in my tahoe, but Im putting a LS2 402 in and I was thinking that I may start a little closer to what Im going to need by starting with an 02 (they still have the cable actuated throttle right?) 6.0 pcm and file. Will this be of benefit or should I just modify my existing file??

From what I've seen here the 02 PCM is the better of the two.
My 2002 5.3l has a cable throttle as well.
I would think the 4.8l and 6.0l would have too.

supposedly there were a few (programming) differences in the 01 and 02...but maybe nothing your upgrades would care about. But FWW my 2000 5.3 pcm to 2002 6.0 pcm swap was cable driven.

Tahoe...5.3? I never liked the idea of changing everything to be a 6.0 in the pcm if it was originally a 5.3 pcm, like copy and pasting. if the Tahoe is 6.0 I'd stick with your pcm unless you can get the 02 easily and cheap or one of the tuners chime in speaking of some huge difference, like the 01 is much more acceptable to knock retard or something...hehehehehe my 2 cents

I wish Tahoes had 6.0 to start. Im going to start with a stock 6.0 file and go from there. Tuning the VE will be horrbile Im sure but I should be able to nail down PE and AFR pretty quickly.
