shift firmness and top speed limiter

Default shift firmness and top speed limiter

if that all i wanted to do is firm up my shifts and take off the top speed limiter, what is the fastes and cheapest way to do it. handheld prog. or tune?

Handheld tuner, but probably not the best method.

Your local tranny guy can tweak the pressure control solenoid in the tranny. The PC is mechanically adjustable aswell as electronic. 1/2 turn makes a noticable difference I'm told. I don't know which direction.
As for codes being set; I unplugged my PC for 3 summers before it the tranny finally quit. Then there was some eng codes.

you can put vette servos in for 20 bucks in 30 min a custom tune is usaully cheaper than a handheld tuner my tune was 150
