this appeared a few hours ago as i put my truck into park and went to turn it off. 5 minutes later i cut it back on and it never came back? i went to park again, nothing. was it a just a fluke or do i need to go to dealer?

Very common.... could be the 4wd switch going out.... happens alot. if it happens again.... replace the switch

I had to have mine replace already. Just have it replaced and be done with it. I wont hurt anything if you drive with it on because i left mine on of a few weeks and then replaced it. I bet it scared you to see that light come on like it did me the first time.

Do not drive around with the light on.... the switches break internally... and weve had a few that kept forcing back and forth between 4wd low and 2wd hi.... it pretty much grenaded the tcase.... I work for gm... I have seen it a few times.... its better to just change it

Still The Switch Isnt Taht Expensive... Its Probably Good Insurance To Just Get It....

Plus The New One Is Made Betetr Than The Original

on an 03 you may need a sensor inside the encoder motor, check the code and see what it is!!!

sorry got a quick question, i dont have 4.10's in the front like i do in the back so i just pulled the fuse for my 4wd switch. surely this is safe. my service 4wd light stays on
