I take it back 1slowhoe. The converter is locked. The bad news is that it locks in every gear but first at any rpm and TPS. I set all the tables for apply to 255mph and it still locks. I set the tps unlock to 5% and it still remains locked at any tps. I cannot find any more parameters to keep the converter from locking. What do I need to do to keep the converter unlocked?

Which tune are you running right now? 2bar18 or 19?

I just changed some settings and am going to give it a shot. I set the TCC release to 1mph across the board, same with TPS is now 1% for release. I also raised the misfire detection tables to maximum. I'll report back shortly.

Check into your DTCs in the trans section.

I made some changes. The PCM could be aware of the problem but some of the TCC DTCs were set not to trip the SES light. I turned some of them back on.

you word it like the tune was fine and you did a 0 to 60 blast and now you have problems. And then you started the 2bar. Honsetly, it sounds so mechanical. Even though you cleaned up the injectors, do a seafoam or at the very least an injector service. Run some **** through the tank. ANd like 1slow says, get through a whole tank yet?

If the issue goes away with meth...I am thinking you have some nasty gas. Although, 15* of spark should kill that. Clean up the fuel first before messing with your tune and beating your head against the wall.

Sorry guys, I was misreading the log. The TCC was not actually locking, it showed 'enabled' and I took that for being locked. I messed with the tables and got it to actually lock and had worse knock. Sorry to jump the gun.

I also think it's a mechanical issue. The screens on the injectors were clean when they were flowed. The engine has 6,000 miles on it, so I don't think carbon is an issue, but I am not ruling that out. By the looks of the plugs, it is burning great. I am on the second tank since the problem started. The gas was my first guess at the problem.

There is also something else in the tune pulling timing that I cannot seem to find. I am commanding 10* in areas and getting down to 4* or so before knock, then the f***er knocks with 4* of timing, then KR pulls 8 and I am about to kiss the windshield running a whopping -4* of timing. This is a stock LQ4 with 9.5:1 CR, without boost I think I could run 80 octane and go without knock if I ran 4* of timing, but this is not the case with 91 in the tank. I am going to run this tank down all the way, re-fill with more 91 and add some techron injector stuff and another bottle of heat and try some more.

I am sorry if I am running you guys in a loop. I really appreciate the help and suggestions I have recieved.

My dad spoke with Andy at A&A Corvettes this afternoon about what is happening. Andy said that he has had a few cars behave the same while in SD, so my pcm may not accept a SD tune. In SD he has had cylinders sparking all over the place, not even close to what is commanded on #1. I am now thinking my pcm is causing the problem, either it flipped out and needs to be replaced, or it will not ever run correctly in SD. Any thoughts or similar experience?

Do you set your MAF to fail at certain frequency?
