If I need to do a security relearn on my truck will the security light be flashing when I try to start it or leave it in the run position?
Because when I try to do a relearn the security light never comes on to tell me if I have completed a cycle.

 

when you turn the key to on position the lights should come on for a few minutes 3 or 4 before they go off.Let all the lights go off and then attempt to start. If it doesn't start repeat step again.
It took me twice to do mine...I wasn't attempting to start after the lights went off. Mine started up on the 3rd try...Good luck.

 

Well I don't think I have a security relearn problem. when I do it the batt light stays on the whole time.
The whole deal is that the new PCM from wheatley won't start but the old tune runs fine when I switch the PCM back. So I need to figure out what the problem is.

 

Its the New PCM. Have him Disable the VATS. = Vehical Anti Theft System.
Some time when you swap the PCM It wont recognise the new one.

OK. well I flashed the new tune into the PCM today. It started and ran for about ten seconds before shutting itself off. I tried the security relearn again and it still won't start.
Apparently I just suck at it. The thing that gets me is that the security light never comes on like many of the instructions say that it will.
