Ok guys long time no see. But I am about to start running the truck again, and was wondering if I could sandbag it some. There is a guy that is wanting to race me and has got 200HP of N2O and a built 350. This is like a grudgematch and I'm wanting to slow the truck down for some time runs and then when it comes down to it open it up. I wouldnt be worried about it but he has been talking **** for a while now and is wanting to do it from some $$$. Is there a sensor or something I can unplug from a few runs and then plug it back in or the race? Like something to cause a trouble code and retard timming? I will have a Tech2 on hand so the codes are no big deal.

Tape a wooden shim to the bottom of your gas pedal. So that you only open up the TB 75% or so even when you "floor i"t. Then when its race time pull it off. Experiment on a back road and see how big a piece makes a difference.
The spark plug thing will work to unless he hears the miss or wonders why you are under the hood before the $$ race.

You have a 5.3L (325) and 125 shot.

If you disconnect your knock sensors the computer will pull some timing out and will throw the SES light, not sure how long it takes to clear the SES after you plug them back in though, might be awhile, unless you have a scan tool/code reader.

Yea thats right. He has a built 350 "from what I hear with some Edelbrock heads, Victor Jr. intake and a built bottomend." Not sure though because words get really thrown around down here. I'm just going to see what he does run, this is just if I run faster than him. It also depends on if my truck wants to run right. Last pass on the bottle was a 8.48 soooo.....

Just sand bag him the traditional way.
Launch hard and let out a little bit at the bottom of your gears. That way it will run the gears all the way out and it won't 'sound' as bad.
If you have means of tuning, pull some timing, an update can be done in a matter of minutes if your good.
