I'm fairly new to tuning & am wanting to remove TM (if it has any that affects it) from my 03 RCSB with a 4.8, 5 speed Silverado 4x4. I've also tried following the VE tuning tutorial on here with no luck. When I try to put the truck in SD, it won't run. It'll start but die immediately, even if I try to give it throttle. Can anyone help me out. I'm using HP Tuners standard also

From what I have seen the normal TM (not any of the other torque limiting parameters) is mainly used on automatic when shifting. It pulls timing or throttle when shifting just for a split second. You won't see it used so much with the manuals, but the thottle parameters limit the power.
Yours is DBW correct? I have seen a good calibration floating around for a 4.8L manual trans with DBW. Can you post you tune?
Oh just for tuning in SD max out your P1514 table and see if it will not stall out

Change this table to allow you to run it in SD
Allow the MAF to set DTC's

Change these 2 tables to match this

I run this table slightly higher than this. This is only 1 of a set of tables that need to be in a range of each other (Redundancy). Not having a bin file I am guessing that this will be safe. If it is not safe it will brick the PCM. Like I said I have found that this table can be much more aggressive. This is mild

Changing the TAC tables with give you more throttle response. All of the TAC tables that I posted are OE in a 2003 calibration, just not a Manual Trans

Anybody else have any suggestions. I haven't tried any of the changes that have been posted yet. I'd really rather not turn my PCM into a brick messing with the TAC tables. I would like some better throttle response out of the truck.

The top table needs to be done to drive it with the MAF unplugged.
