Default Put a 408 in a 06 Trail Blazer,need help.

What do I need to do to make the current PCM work in my TB? My TB is a 5.3 originally. My tuner is saying the computer can't be tuned to the new engine do to the old one having active fuel managment.
What needs to be done to the PCM to make this work? I have taken out all the AFM parts.

Thanks guys.

Scott

Ed Wright of Fast Chip is my tuner. How bad does AFM screw with things?

So is Ed basically saying that you need a different PCM? From what I've read of Ed Wright, he knows his stuff, but I don't have any personal experience with him to back that up...

unless the AFM was locked in the BCM, I shouldn't see any reasons why it wouldn't work out?

what kind of PCM is it? can you change the cylinder volume? If so then I guess your set.. change that out as a first step, then tune the fueling.. can't see it go wrong from there
