Default programmer?

I got a 2000 Silverado with a 5.3l and I work at a Chevy dealership and i can get a programmer, its a Pro Comp Accu Pro but it says its for a 07-08 Silverado, will it work since the cord hooks to the connection? If not what's the best most reliable programmer for a decent price?

First off, no, that won't work with your truck. Second off, it's only for setting the speedometer and ABS module calibrations; it has nothing to do with performance.

If you're looking for a tune, I recommend getting something mail order like a Blackbear or a Wheatley tune. If you have a local tuner, get a tune from them. I would generally stay away from Hypertech and handheld programmers in general.
