Default programing 05+ EFANS with a 99-02 PCM

I'm using HPTUNERS PRO to tune my truck well actually VORTEC350SS is doing it for me I'm just helping out but we can't figure out how to turn on my 05+ fans I'm using a BBP harness for the 05+ fans on a 99-02 PCM.

If you're in HPT, if you go to System--->Fans, what is the fan type?

That's not what I am asking.

When you're inside HPT, go to the "System--->Fans", what does it show you?

On a stock 2000 Silvy bin file, it is set to "no fans".

On my 2006 Sierra, it is set to "2 Fans".

See where I am going?

I thought I did have it set to 2 fans. I know it is now, but maybe we didnt do it right that night. We'll find out next time we meet up I guess. The tune is currently set to "2 fans"

Need to know if you are using the fan harness that has 1 or 2 wires added to the PCM.

You will hate life with that 1 wire harness. 2 pin is the only way to go for me.

And yes, OEM efans work just fine on 99-02.

I have 05+ fans controlled with an OEM efan harness. It plugs right in next to the major fuse box under the hood. On the tune, it needs to be set to "2 fans" as stated, but also, the recirc door option needs to be set to fan control.

Then just load a 05 truck file as a compare file and copy the fan settings. Your fans will only run high speed when The a/c is on. If you had bought the 2 wire harness you could have reassigned the auto air recirculate PCM pin to fan 2 control and had the PCM control both high and low speed with coolant temps.
