I think most people will agree that EFI live and HPTuners are both great products. Both seem to be very user friendly and more than capable of tuning your vehicle. I know support for HPTuners is great. I'm sure EFILive support is equal. I haven't heard complaints about either one. It probably comes down to special features and vehicle support w/ either product when making a decision. You might also want to take into account what other people are using. The more people using a particular product the more help you might be able to get w/ specific situations you run into. just my .02

Both products do a great job and there's people on both sides of the fence on here to help you. I would say that the learning curve is about equally difficult with both. It comes down to which product has the features and licensing scheme that will suite you best. If you have any specific EFILive question, please feel free to ask me. If I can help any any way, let me know.
You can also down load EFIlive's software and play with it. It's the full version that will do everything, but save a file or flash to a pcm.
