evap code. what needs to be checked, cleaned or replaced. Where is it located. This is for a buddy, 2005 silverado crew cab 4.8L. Thanks in advance.

It was the evap vent solenoid on mine when I got the code. Replaced the solenoid and it was fixed. Should be some info about it here somewhere since it's pretty common.

+1 on solenoid under hood for mine too last year. From searching back then other problems less common at gas tank is 2 way valve, cannister, and hose re-route (TSB?). My 2 cents. cheers
