performance gains with Tune??
I am thinking about getting GForce to tune my '06 GMC with a 5.3. Does anyone know the gains with that such as performance and fuel efficiency?

I am not familiar with GForce but if they use HPT or EFILive to tune, on the dyno or on the street then you should notice significant gains in performance. Economy only if you can keep your foot out of it.
Better than the HP gains is how a good tune, including transmission adjustments will make your truck so much more fun to drive.

You can't do a whole lot for power on a stock engine if you are wanting to continue to run 87 octane. One's i've seen will knock on the stock tune. Most factory tunes won't go into power enrichment until 5000 rpm or so. Custom tuning the PE table in lower rpm's will help some but running a higher octane will allow you to move the timing around and gain a few. The biggest gains you will feel at the seat of your pants with a completely stock engine will be removing all or most of the tq management and firming up the shifts.
I know nothing of Gforce.

i say do a few mods then tune. you will get the most out if it that way. but a tune is definitely going to tie all your mods in together , and make your truck think its a camaro or corvette.

I don't know about all of that but I just want to give it a little more uumph.I eventually plan on getting some full exhaust and maybe a little more but nothing much. I have the camaro in the pic with about 500 on motor and full suspension for the power.
