Default PE enable %TPS vs RPM HELP!!!

What do you FI guys have this set at??I have mine set at 60% and I still get 5+lbs of boost before it will enter PE. It doesnt sound like detonation, but it must be since the WB is showing an AFR of 14.7!!! This is just with the vortech so what do you turbo guys have it set at??? What should I set it at??I cant belive my 5.3 is still together after all of the timees this has happened!! I definately dont want this happening on the 6.0 especially since it has already cost me an arm!!!!!

I normally look at where someone is hitting boost with thier normal driving conditions or where you start to see kr and enable pe in that area. Normally around 40%tps and lower the enable rpms to 2000.

thats where a good 2/3 bar custom OS with the added pe vs map becomes invaluable

I have to agree 100% with this, I don't even run PE, just an EFILIVE custom OS

Set your PE MAP enable to 95

Then set the TPS enable to around 50%. You want it to drop into PE mode when it sees abotu 2psi, 3psi if you like the mileage.

Once it starts going into PE, you can give it a little more timing too.

to do this I would need the 2bar sesnor correct?? Will I also need to upgrade to the EIO from HPtuners?? Does any one have a link to show what needs to be done to plug in a 2bar sensor and run off the MAP??

No .. that is not correct. When you see the MAP sensor show 105, that's about 1psi. THe stock sensor will stop reading there. Look at MAP reading and the TPS reading and that will tell you about where to set the table at.

my PE enable MAP is at 55, MAP hysteresis is at 6, and mode delay at 5500. Shouldnt it be going into PE earlier as it is set? I see about 5# before it goes into PE as it is set.

Cuz your TPS setting is 60% as per your first post. Second your delay rpm is 5500. If you nail it...The delay probably want be reached for a second or two.

MAP Enable 80 kpa
Hyst 5 kpa
delay rpm...I have zero here. But I like safe
enable torque 100%
TQ hst 15%

cold enable table (TPS) I start at 65% goto 50% at 2400rpm then 45% at 3200rpm, then 30% at 3600 rpm, and 20% at 4400rpm up.

These are my settings and I get bad gas mileage but a safe feeling and no tip in knock.

don't forget to up your enrichment rate to 1
