Default Paddle Shift 4L80E?

Just a fun thought I've been having... what would it take to be able to paddle shift an 80E in an 01 Silverado? Can it be done through the factory PCM, or is a separate TCM required? I think they make retrofit kits for the f-bodies but haven't seen anything for trucks.

Just curious mostly. Probably not worth it to paddle shift a 4 speed in a truck anyways

a partner and i are making a standalone tcm for guys doing swaps and such who still want an 80e and 60e. doing a paddle shift is actually something in our plans. yes it is possible, but its more than just commanding the next gear which makes it tricky.

yes im aware stand alones already exists
