Fuel pressure is 58-60 on the rail. The only thing that I still don't get is why I never get a CEL or have any stored when I check with hptuners but the wire is pulled along with every other thing possible...

Is that with it idling or just priming it with the engine off?

Prime engine off.

Idling it doesn't change much, maybe 1psi. I just put an AEM 320lph pump in a month or so ago but I had tried to do this before that as well and had the same issue and didn't ever follow thru to see what the deal was. Enable maf and everything runs perfect...

I stumbled across this thread over on HP website
Need a little help with SD tune, hard start after reflash

This is exactly what my truck was doing. So I kept starting it and trying to keep it running and after about 6 starts it finally kicked the SES light and went into SD mode.

Anyone have a clue why this is?

I killed and restarted the truck and maf was still failed, so I will get one round of logging and make adjustments and reflash. I'm curious if it will do it again after the flash...

This is interesting. It appears to just be taking too long for the MAF to fail. Did you lower the amount of trips before the MIL is displayed?

I ended up lowering the maximum delta airflow table to zero. I guess from the previous tuners this table was maxed out at like 67.7... I dunno. When I'm done I'm going to put the stock values back and then just double the table instead of maxing it out. So now when I crank it it idles for a few seconds and then trips the SES for maf fail
