Allright Im down to my last hope before I put a bullet in this old truck. The truck is a 96 k1500 with 4.3 5 speed manual to 5.7, 5.7 was out of 99 suburban auto The truck will turn over but no spark from the coil pack im getting fuel to the motor, I have power to the coil pack, Vats is shut off so that shouldnt be a problem now my tuner said it was a bad pcm and he got me a new pcm still nothing and this is getting on my last nerve, really need some help from ya guys input is in real apprication

The ignition system on that series 5.7 is basically a HEI with an external coil. As long as it has power and ground it should fire. Personally I would check the module/pickup inside the distributor.

The way I understand this system to work is: 12 Volts to the coil. Magnetic pickup/Module breaks the ignition as the distributor passes each magnet. Which triggers the spark to that particular plug.

Did you check to see that the distributor wasn't damaged at the time of the removal by the firewall. (Kind of common when the transmission cross member is removed.)

Check to make sure there is power to the coil while it is cranking. Most power sources shut off while cranking, and if you hook into the wrong one it won't fire.

Yeah, good idea, I bet your crank sensor is shot.
