Hey guys im new to all this computer stuff. Never messed with it either it was carb or just bought a programmer or sprayed the sh@@ out of it. I bought my new project about 4 months ago. I already bought the hypertech programmer, put crank and alt pullies and throttle body spacer. What program would be the best bang for the dollar? I have looked at wait for me and they are pretty reasonable, i also looked at nelsons. The price diffrence is alot. Does price really matter or would wait for me be OK. It is a 99 2 door 2 wheel drive yukon. It is my daily driver. But i also whant to blow past other trucks on the freeway and at the lights.Just looking for suggestions.

They are both good tuners, if it were me I would get the Wait4Me because I have a buddy that has had great luck with his. Nelson's would probably perform just as well, but you would save a lot of money with the W4M.

Like I mentioned in the other post about exhaust, there is a true programmer for our trucks. It is called TunerCAT.

Despite its popularity, mail-order tunes are not optimal. There is no such thing as a one-file-fits-all approach to engine programming. With the resources available to you on this forum most people can learn to program their PCM themselves. As you make modifications to your truck in the future it becomes as simple as logging some data to see how operational parameter have changed, then making the changes to your BIN file, and then uploading it to your PCM. To truly tune an engine you have to log data, analyze the data, make and upload the changes. How can that be done with no logging and only a description of your mods?
Learn it and do it yourself. That's best.

Good lord JamesB I need to start paying you for all the advice I have been getting from you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is the price for TunerCAT? I guess if you pay what $500 to $600 (guestimate) for the tunerCAT. Evrytime you do soemthing different to the truck you can always do it yourself, instead of shiping out your comp and waiting for it to get back then hoping it was done right.
