I totally agree, I don't think I could say it any better myself.

Are you kidding me? I would comment on this but I'm not trying to start a pissing match.

I won't specify who, but givien the nature of the thread, it should be obvious. I've had several people PM me asking what to do about them not being able to get in touch with their tuners or about a bunk tune on the same individual tuner. One guy even said that he had someone at a dealership hook up some scanning software and it was running somewhat lean. Another guy had the same problem with a tuner knowing he was going to spray it. Well ... he got him a new motor out of the deal, and it wasn't paid for in any part by the tuner who ran it lean.

All these were a single tuner.

On the flip side, I've tuned some of the other mail order tuners and they were all very nasty looking.

I use 12-pak tuning Ive looked at a few mail order tunes, and havent been impressed with any of them. Gixer, youre in south La correct? go see Allen Futral at Futral Motor Sports, or Geoff at Thunder racing. NO mail order tune will be better than a live tune

heres the way i look at it...

every site has their favorite tuner. performance trucks is mostly nelson, ls1truck is of corse nelson, gmfs is mostly jesse bubb, and chevyavalanchefanclub is a tossup between superchips and westers.

all great tuners, BUT. what sites are the most performance oriented sites on the net for our trucks?? the answer is PT.net and ls1truck.com i go to gmfs for ****, politics, honest opinions, and ****. and just brouse through chevyavalanchefanclub because most of them are hardheaded

pt.net is THE most truck performance oriented site on the net, and the fact that most of pt.net recomends nelson as a tuner speaks for itself.

Im not knocking Nelson, just telling youwho I use. If I lived near San Antone, I would most likely have Nelson too, but since I dont, if I went somewhere it would be FMS. I still doubt a mail order will come close to a real tune (street or dyno) just my opinion though. BTW stew, you wanna race?
