need a little help here please?

Just swapped out my converter, from a 2800 to a 9-1/2" 3500
what do I need to change in the tune, to get my trans running right...
It runs well, but I had the TC not lock up in 2nd, or 3rd..with the 2800..
now my trans temps get pretty high with the 3500, and I am thinking I need to have it lock up now..
what settings do I adjust?
and what else needs to be changed?
tried going back to stock settings on the verter, but it made it bog when shifting into 3rd
So now I am back to the original tune for the 2800 stall.
any help would be HELPFULL
Thanks
Daniel

I have no idea. I guess I could look at the way mine is set up since I have a 3400 on my 4.8, but I'll have to do it later when I get to my other laptop. What temps are you running? Mine is about ~160 even when towing the new boat. Engine temps run about 185ish.

wow I wish mine could get that low....
If I am romping on it it can get damn near 210, and the motor runs up to 210 or so also..
think you could shootme your whole trans table setup???
I have been trying for the longest time to get my right, and just cant get it there..

Dan, I am in the same boat. I just recently intalled a Vig 2800 on my truck and temps went up to about 210-220 during normal driving in temps of 95-105 during the day. This is without a cooler though. If you don't have one, get one soon. I plan on getting one very soon. For right now, I hardly ever drive my truck. My only suggestion is try experimenting lockups at different mph in both 2nd and 3rd gear to see if you tranny temps goes down before you get a cooler. If you are using HP Tuners this would be in Transmission -> A4 TCC -> TCC Apply/Release Speed vs %TPS vs.Gear.

??????I know they are way diffrent tables..
when I open up the TCC there is nothing like that for me to chose from..

tuning the tcc is one of the simpler things just takes time,
there is one tab uner transmission-a4 tcc holds all the settings
tcc apply release speed vs tps vs gear
and
tcc voltage are the only tables needing to be changed
the first is very straight forward adjust the mph to your liking
the voltage I set the base to 100 and the offset to 100 on some aftermarket tc this will be to harsh but on the smaller one you have it should be alright raising the voltage causes to lockup to occure quicker and firmer adjust this through the offset I like knowing its locked feels like another shift
edit just read you dont have hp dont know with ls1
