Today I started truck and took off and transmission works perfectly for about ten miles then it felt like it hit neutral and slipping 3rd and fourth so I stopped and turned it off then restarted it and took off again and it worked perfectly again . This is driving me crazy !! What would cause this ?

Something sticking when it gets hot and expands...with oressure behind it then when you shut it off the pressure drops.... 3rd accumulator check valve and 3-4 accumulator, would be first two things to check, the 3/4 accumulator could be worn causing it to **** in the bore.... Coukd also be a stuck valve in the valve body...

You don't think it's the ignition switch or something else electronic ? Doesn't matter if transmission is warm or cold

As constant of an issue as this is, no its something in the trans.... Could even be something going on with the input drum which houses the 3-4 clutch pack

You have an intenal issue.... Take it back to whoever built the trabs and tell them when its fixed you will come get it, at this point it sounds like they arebt even test driving the damn thing after going through it....

Either get them to fix it for good or find another builder
