The torque management on the trucks is so noticeable. I am going to be getting something done about it soon. I went to the track a few days back and the 60' time sucks. If you stall it up any it just launches slower. Definitely has a huge delay before opening up full throttle. 15.8's 1/4 time is all I have seen at the track and GTech.

Is it really in the TAC module? Maybe the delay is programmed in the Electronic Throttle section of the PCM and that table has just not been added in the tuning programs yet?

Its not a mechanical issue, its a PCM issue.

Sounds like there is more to be done with computer tuning. I can't elaborate because I have not done any tuning yet, but I would imagine it can be tuned out if you know what to look for.

Found this over on the HP Tuners forum. Maybe it is the same dead throttle issue as described in the first post.

Also, something else I thought was interesting while looking at a new 07 file. The ETC settings look "softer" than the older trucks.

The attatched files are the pedal position % vs. actual TB open % for a new 07 5.3L Silverado and a 05 5.3L Silvy. Looks like you have to give it more pedal on the newer stuff to get the same actual opening percentage. Why would they do that?
