Default Moates RoadRunner

Has anyone used this or know someone that has? I am looking at getting some tuning software and thought that the advantages of tuning real time would be nice.

Here's the link (not sure if this is allowed since they are not a sponsor, so mods please remove if inappropriate)

removed link

Thoughts/opinions?

if your considering the $1100+ moates system you might want to consider the $499 hptuners RTT solution as well http://www.hptuners.com/help/vcm_editor_rtt.htm it just happens to use the factory pcm to do basically the same thing for 1/2 the price

I think you have to have a tuning program like EFI as well, but am not 100% sure about it.

correct...in addition to the roadrunner cost of $800 you'd also need the efilive scanner at a minimum for an additional $250 and you'd need to run the roadrunner replacement pcm full time to enjoy its benefits.

It's not quite the same thing. HPTuners RTT is GM's Bidirectional controls wrapped in a user friendly UI and is limited to a specific set of real time parameters. The roadrunner allows you to change any and ALL parameters on the fly.

Thats simply not true.

Here is an example of how you can use RTT to tune a VE table:
http://www.hptuners.com/help/vcm_edi...xamples_ve.htm

The simple fact is that HP Tuners RTT allows you to tune just about all the major parameters that can actually utilize RTT functionality..

You don't need to real time tune your rev limiter, speed limiter, fan turn on temps, etc... despite what others try to make you believe.

We have demo'd our RTT on dyno's at various shops and it is a HUGE success.

I use HPTuners RTT on every 99+ LS1 powered vehicle I tune now because it makes tuning a breeze not to mention fun at an affordable price(in many cases FREE).

I was unaware of the RTT.

Magnus, will you please update the links in your sig, or at the very least provide one in the thread. My curiousity is peaked.
