Default missfire question ?

so i fixed the o2 sensor wires that were unhooked from making convertors free flowing and the truck is still running like crap half the time. sometimes you crank it , it will run good and other times it sounds like its missing a plug . i go back by auto zone and they plug into it and it reads a missfire. thats all the dude told me. whats miss firing ? the injectors or the ignition? im not completly stupid when it comes to vehicles but im still learning on these computerized ones. what do i need to do to fix this problem. someone please help because its starting to get aggravating and im too strapped for cash right now to take it to a shop and let them break it off in me.

when we put the engine back in a few months ago we didnt have the injector harness plugged in all the way and it ran on like 4-5 cylinders when we fired it up. we found out what it was and pulled it off and checked for bent prongs and fired it back up. do you think one is still not getting good conection ? would it hurt or help it to put some dielectric grease in it then plug it back in ?
