I have HPtuner for my vette. I haven't gotten around to hooking it up to my 05 5.3L truck yet, but might get a chance to tomorrow. If I do any tuning on it, I'd like to concentrate more on economy vs power. So what are you guys tuning to get more economy?

Anyone want to share thier files?

BTW the truck is an 05 CC 1/2 ton Z71 with 3.42 gears. I also want to get a cat-back and air intake tube....but money is committed other places. Tuning for me is free.

 

Which tune are you asking about? The car or the truck?

 

have DFCO turn on sooner & turn off later
have torque conv. lockup turn on sooner & turn off later
upshift sooner & downshift later
increase thorrle position percentage to enable PE mode
