Default Mileage gain from tuning DFCO?

Was wondering if there was much of a mileage gain by playing with the dfco settings?

I don't see a lot of difference. I've got it set fairly aggressive for normal driving, but turn it off when I'm futzing with ve. Probably only a .5mpg difference.

Sure, The fuel you save when your foot is not on the throttle to see if it goes into dfco. I have heard if you delete it you take a hard hit on mileage. but making it come on sooner probably won't hurt, only help.

I noticed a 1-1.5 mpg increase on my 2004 HD but I did have it set pretty aggressively. I'm about to start working on my 07' Avalanche along with tuning DOD to see what kind of gains I can get from it. I'm shooting for 2-3 mpg average increase.

Well, I got my tune updated, he said I could see .5 to 3 mpg difference. I thought he was exagerating a little bit when he said 3 mpg.

Just talked to my tuner. He said he tune a 02 camaro and doing the same kind of stuff with the DFCO that he did to my truck, he did with the camaro and he noticed a 2 mpg increase in his normal city/highway driving. Is there that big of difference between a truck and car, because I haven't seen that much of a increase.

You might look into lowering your O2 switch points for some MPG gains...

I've tried that too for a pseudo "lean cruise" type tune. Haven't really noticed but I've got some issues to work out in my tune anyway. I'd also like to see an aggressive DFCO tune too; I've done a little with mine but its nothing really aggressive.

What did you set your switch points to?
