Default Mega squirt ms1

I have a 03 silverado SS doing a custom turbo kit myself with megasquirt ms1 just to control fueling . Just wondering if I can unplugged the injectors and hook the ms1 up to a separate harness. Just don't want to cut the factory harness. Is this possiable? My other projects don't have a factory harness and just use the squirt I've never put ms1 on anything with factory controls .

^^^^this.

Just run the stock computer. It is much better in my opinion than a MegaSquirt. I actually bought a MegaSquirt a few years ago for a project, and am going to get id of it to purchase a stock computer out of a truck for an older Chevelle.

Mega squirt is easy and simple . That why I like it and I'm not familiar with anything else. Hp tuners works great I had a friend of mine tune my corvette with it and it works good . I just already have the squirt . And would like to tune it myself instead of running to Dallas everytime.

The ecm will control spark and other functions(a/c, trans, spark) and MS will handle the fueling

Yeah just like Parish did. The ms1 will only control fueling . I just didn't know if leaving the injectors unplugged would affect anything. My thought is no but I would like some input.
