Well based on what I have seen doing tuning along the way I do believe that it is fairly accurate and here is why. In using hptuners their is a custom PID for calculated horsepower(at the crank), can't take credit for this it's from 12SecSS over on hptuners forum. Well making a WOT run in 3rd with the converter locked in my truck like you would on a dyno the dynamic airflow lbs/min curve followed my horsepower curve pretty damn close. Then figuring my horsepower at the wheels based on my trap speed and vehicle weight and figuring % loss from the crank to the wheels the numbers match up pretty darn close on my truck.

I would like to get to a dyno soon to compare the numbers to see just how accurate this is. But from what I have seen in my testing and I have spent some time messing with this it seems fairly accurate but a dyno run will tell just how close.

I have heard this, yes. It is at least a rough estimate.

It's no replacement for a dyno of course but I have found it to be a decent tool for tuning on the street to see where you are at say after swapping a cam, etc.........
