lsu 4.2 wideband and 5.3 silverado
#1
o... k.... just like it said ive got a lsu 4.2 w/b and a 5.3 silverado motor in my 87 sivlerado. ive done a quick search on hptuners, but cant post up due to the fact im not the purchaser of the program. im waiting on my buddy to supply me his info so i can do some posting over there too.
so here is my question... why do you need a controller for a wide band if you have hp tuners?
on these trucks you can run the w/b through the EGR, A/C high pressure switch and be gravy, but i dont understand why you need a controler and what exactly does it (a controller) do? why? bmw's come with lsu 4.2 02 sensors from the factory, which are wide bands and i just so happen to come across a good used one from one of my fellow tech's. i have hp tuners and want to look at my a/f ratio a few times to make sure it jives. soo....
if you can answer my question that would be great, if not, sorry you wasted your time. oh yeah, .. well i'll see what kind of responces i get from this question first,
