Default LS7 throttle body on Gen 3

I bought an LSXRT intake manifold and a LS7 throttle body to put on my gen 3 4.8. The only problem is the gen 3 throttle body plug is a 6 pin and the ls7 is a 8 pin. So I did some looking and the torque harness is out of stock and stupidly expensive. So I bought this little guy off ebay.

Will it work is my question? The plugs look right and it was only 40 bucks. Look forward to the feedback.

No, read the description on the Ebay ad. It's for cobalt N/A engines to convert to a supercharged TB from a 2.0L

The X-link is the only way to really make it work.

LSJ 8 Pin Throttle Body to 6 Pin LE5 or L61 Wiring Harness Adapter | eBay

So you bought an $800-900 intake and a $300 Throttle body, New prices respectively, for a little 4.8 and you think the correct adapter is stupidly expensive???

The X-link from Torque Rush Performance is the only way to get 100% full throttle blade opening.

With a different TAC module and that $40 harness you can get about 85%

Did you see his video comparison on his web page??? Torque Rush LS2, LS7, LS3 to LS1 throttle body adapter harness

I read the description. ....it's 40 bucks, worth a shot. And the little 4.8 isn't the end game, anything I bolt in the 4.8 for now can bolt on a 6.0 later. Ohh, and I did mention I couldn't find an X - link in Stock right?

So what other option do I have? Not gonna use the stock throttle body with one of those adapter plates, that defeats the purpose of the big intake.

If the plug doesn't work I can wait till I swap motors or just put the manifold on my denali.
