Lq4 swap tuning question
#1
A couple months ago I picked up a 2000 Silverado rcsb. The truck was originally a 4.8 but the previous owner did a 2002 lq4 swap. From what he told me the swap was just the long block everything else was from the stock 4.8 wiring , intake , transmission everything. The plan for the truck is not to go to crazy because it is a daily drive but I plan on doing some basics headers , catback , shift kit , gears , mild cam , cai. The truck runs fine now but am I going to have a problem with tuning after I start doing mods because the wiring is from the stock 4.8?

There won't be an issue with the wiring.
Might be a problem with the injectors though, the 6.0 might have ran bigger injectors. I wonder if it was ever tuned for the 6.0 swap, hopefully it was because thats not a good idea to have it ran off of all 4.8 settings.
