6100rpms isn't over reving by any means. I spin my mine to 6400 and never a hickup.
The squeal could have been anything. The loss of power could be the heat and KR. Also different payvment temps seriously effect traction.I seriously doubt your cats are bad. Your problem you describe sounds more like an airflow restriction. Maybe cloged/dirty filter. Over oiled filter. Dirty electrodes on the MAF.
Try putting some alcohol on a Q-tip and rubbing the electrodes GENTLY. I do this with mine everytime I clean my K&N just to be sure there is no residue on them.
Also check the intake pipe on the volant, something could be cloging it.

I left out part of my story at the beginning. When I installed my Hypertech, the instructions say NOT have your shift points higher than the rev liminter. Welll, I had my 1st and 2nd gear at + 6 and my rev at 6100. Your suppose to keep the shift points 100 rpms lower than your rev limiter. I didn't. Thats why I said it over revved and the motor shut down like it is suppose to. Now that I think about it, it may have been a loud squeal/air sucking noise. I hope I didn't crack the intake. My tuner says that these new plastic intakes can crack. I already cleaned the MAF. Plus I took it to my tuner yesterday and he noticed when hitting the throttle, that it was sucking air from somewhere on the intake or maybe a vaccum valve. It sounds sluggish and hesitates. I tried use some carb cleaner to locate the leak, but couldn't find it. It sounds like its coming from in back of the intake somewhere down low. I made an appointment with the dealer for tomorrow. I hope they can find it, and fix it. Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. When I do get it fixed, I'll be sure to let everyone know.

I doubt very much that you cracked your intake.I have bounced off the rev limiter before when shifting myself cause i didn't throw it up fast enough....didn't realize i was so close to shift point as my friend speed up some while i had it dropped already cause we were about to race...anyway....not only that but there are guys that have ran over 7000rpms on the intakes...never cracked em though.I run mine to 6100 everyday...and i do mean everyday lol.Trust me if its anything at all i would bet its not a cracked intake. Not from hitting the rev limiter....

Any DTC's of any kind?
Why would belt slip cost you power? you are N/A right?
Why do you have a hypertech III and a "tuner"?
I'm going with the radom missfire code causeing the TCC to unlock causing more throttle needed to keep at a set speed. Or the MAF sensor, All it takes is a over oiled air filter.
Were is the other thread?

Well, I took it to the dealer today and they still couldn't find the problem. He said that it may be something in the trans. That the acculater or what ever you call it is connected to the throttle some how, could this be it?. As far as the belt slip, someone else suggested the belt maybe slipping. I installed the Hypertech last year before this problem happened. When I couldn't find out what I did to my truck, then I went to the tuner to see if he could find the prob. There is three DTCS that show up on the Hypertech. first is L/f wheel sensor malfunctioning, second is wheel speed sensor malfunctioning. I ask the dealer what these were and they didn't know. Could it be the wheel speed sensor acting up? Or could it really be something in the trans? I took the throttle body spacer off today also, and it had alittle more pep, but it still doesn't do a burn out. Maybe it is something in the trans. Also, I didn't know that my truck had an 4l60e tranny. Anymore suggestions? Peolpe want to race me sometimes but I can't. I'm lost without my torque!!

Well it is possible that when the PCM throws a Wheel Speed Sensor DTC (ABS related) that could cause problems.
If what you describe as your second speed sensor malfunction is in actuallity a Vehicle Speed Sensor. Then that would defiently put your engine into a "limp" mode.
If you can, could you please post the exact DTC codes that you have. That will help alot.

Still nothing as of today, but trying something else tomorrow. I'm going to try a smoke and pressure test. It feels like an air leak somewhere, and I've check all my vaccuum lines everywhere i could. Because when I hit the throttle at idle, it hesitates and sounds like air at the throttle body. The only time I've heard air anywhere was at the filter. Plus when driving in about second or third gear, its a dog. It does have that crisp, torquey response anymore.
