wouldent getting in with a friend that had another year model be the same as a 1 model year deal.

hptuners for me is great, its expensive, but works good since you can tune as many trucks as you want with the vehicle year you buy. only software iknow that does that.

Just tried this it this moring, and already changing stuff!! It has the "ETC tip in" in the engine TM. Snappy!!. IT pretty much blows HPT1.7 out the water, but mine does not have case learn feature that 1.7 did. Very impressed through!!

If HPT would offer a 1 vehicle deal that was 0.5 price, then that'd make more sense. Sorry I'm just ranting, because I'm being cheap.
How much is megasquirt I havent really looked it up? Also some people dont wanna splice into their wiring to get their fueling accomplished if they dont have to. Also keep in mind hptuners is not vin locked & comes with two year licenses with pricing starting at $499. When HPt entered the market the cornerstone was ls1edit which came with one license that was vin locked & that with NO scanner ran $500. When efilive came out at a higher price I might add hptuners started giving out an extra year license for free whereas efilive only gave you 2 vin locked licenses...basically they've kept up and tried to beat market demand to this point from what I can see. I believe megasquirt needs to be hooked into YOUR car whereas hpt is year/model locked so you can tune as many of one year as you can find.

there is 4 of us total that decided to go in and get it so the cost would be lower. actually bigkid will get his for free since he is sending his edit in on it. plus as we find other trucks that need tuned we can recoupe some of our money plus keep the gm's out front
