The gauge will just freeze for about 30 seconds very occasionally. Most annoying is it will "blip" full rich or lean while just cruising along fairly regular. Very annoying especially at night. The data stream being fed to the logger is perfect. No blips. Appears to be a serial communication issue between the controller and gauge. Couple other guys have reported the gauge freezing on HPT fourm. PLX has suggested a couple things to try but didn't work.

How exactly does it interface, I dont have HPT and dont have my Dynojet WB Commander hooked up in the truck yet to see how a WB interfaces into the cable so you can log your WB readings along with everything else. That PLX looks really good. Rhino, how easy is it to move form vehicle to vehicle? Thats what I would consider it for once I get a feel for tuning myself.

I've considered the LM1 but that PLX unit looks good and affordable. Any sponsors carry it?

Very portable, I just put a 12 volt power plug on the power wires and other than that it's just a matter of installing the sensor and routing the wires into the cab through like the door jamb. Piece of cake I can have it installed on a vehicle and ready to go in about 3-5min.

I haven't had any problems with my LC-1, but if I were to do it again or needed to buy a different wideband, I'd go with the PLX SM-AFR.

You should see a LC1 vs. a Dynojet wideband.

PLX has my vote, so does AEM and Twin tech
