Default L33 (LM7) to L59 conversion

I have an '03 5.3 L33. I have access to cheap alcohol.
An '03 5.3 L59 supports alcohol, so why not convert the L33 fuel system to match an L59?

The problem: Not enough details to figure out the conversion.

Information learned so far: ECM calculates ethanol percentage on the fly, the injectors on the L59 have different part numbers than the L33 (I assume higher pound rate), and the ECM's have different tunes. I don't have a tuner for this ECM, so I can't read the tunes I have found at HPTuner. I might buy their tuner if I know it will work for me.
I can only speculate that the only things I need to change the fuel system are some new injectors, and a new ECM tune. I assume that the gaskets, hoses, fuel pressures, etc are both the same.

Before I do something rash, like blow wads of cash on useless new injectors, I would like to have experts double check my information.
I have a great deal of engine knowledge, and alcohol knowledge, but not for this specific engine.

Since the alcohol option was avaliable for this engine, I think I can make a conversion. If anyone has access to the specific differences between the two engines, please let me know. Thanks.

I've looked at doing the same thing.....but can't fine enough information to complete the picture. my best suggestion is to get a COMPLETE parts list from your truck and an L59 truck and compare the two to see what is different

I believe that they have a different fuel pump. I have also heard that the fuel systems are slightly different because the ethanol can deteriorate the hoses and gaskets over time.

Differences that i know of. between the FFV L59 and the regular Gen3 engines is.

Slightly Larger Injectors, needed as E85's stoich ratio is lower than gasoline.
Fuel Composition/Temp. Sensor. - This is the critical component, this is where the PCM knows what kind of fuel its getting, how much alcohol is in it, as well as its Temperature (not a big deal with gasoline, but makes a difference with ethanol.)

Getting the fuel composition sensor hooked up to your current PCM i think is the greatest challenge you'll undergo during a conversion.
